El almuerzo se servirá entonces en un restaurante de un club de playa en Isla Saona, alrededor de una langosta recién pescada. Podrá relajarse en hamacas y camas con dosel. What an excursion should be

My wife & I were looking for something different than the typical crowded, loud, tourist geared excursion. This company offers an experience that hits all the right notes - limited capacity so that it’s comfortable and enjoyable - quiet and relaxing, but still fun and accommodating - remote locations away from the crowds - AND the lunch was slamming despite being a picky eater at times. Crew and head tour guide were super awesome as well. Only 15 people on our excursion so we got to actually talk and get to know each other. Highly recommend!

Stunning day on the Quetzal!

What an amazing day on the Quetzal. We went as a family of four, including our 17 and 18 year old teenagers. From the moment we stepped onto the boat we knew this was going to be a fabulous day. Lola and all the crew were so welcoming and the boat was lovely and spacious, with plenty of space for all the guests to spread out and relax in either shade or sun. We sailed to the snorkelling area (while spotting lots of flying fish along the way) and spent some time there spotting lots of beautiful sea life in crystal clear sea. We then sailed to Saona and the pictures of this beautiful place do not do it justice, it is exactly as you imagine paradise to look. We had some time on the island to relax and swim in the sea or just sit on the beach and take in the views. Lola and Mateus provided us with drinks and snacks or you can purchase a pina colada in the island (served in a pineapple). We then went back to the boat and were served a fantastically delicious lunch. I had let Joy know that I don’t eat meat, but do eat fish and they had prepared a tasty tuna steak for me. The food was the best meal we had so far on our holiday - tasty, simple and fresh. We then sailed on to snorkel to see the giant starfish, there were so many of them, along with lots more beautiful sea life. The whole trip made really special by not only the amazing things we saw and did but also by the lovely friendly and informative crew members, who made us feel really welcome on the boat. We were not crowded onto the boat and this really did make such a difference, especially as we saw quite a few other boats with any more people crammed onto them. In this case your really do get what you pay for - an unforgettable day with the family. I would highly recommend!

The day was wonderful! Joy and Lola arranged for a taxi to pick us up from our hotel which was very helpful.
When we got to the boat there was plenty of room for everyone. Looking at all the other boats going to Soana island, this one was more spacious and relaxing. The others were crammed full of people so we’re glad we booked with Lola instead of through TUI.
We took our two children (12 and 5) and they really enjoyed. They loved sitting on the nets at the front of the boat and watching all the fish and birds.
Our first stop was a swim just off Soana island, you had the choice of snorkelling with Lola or having a leisurely swim around the boat.
Next we got back on board and as we went to Soana island the crew served us sandwiches, fruit and crisps for a mid morning snack.
We got to Soana and it was AMAZING! Breathtakingly beautiful and we were again lucky enough to have a much quieter spot on the beach than all the other busy boats. There’s were swings on the beach, the opportunity to have a massage and drinks. The water is crystal clear. Without a doubt the most beautiful place in the world.
We had a 5 minute walk back to the boat through the coconut jungle which was again so beautiful.
Back on the boat, the crew fed us a wonderful lunch. Salads, pastas, avocados, fruit, chicken and beef. It was all very delicious. Our children were also well fed and enjoyed the pasta and cheese.
On the way back to Dominican we stopped at a natural pool off the shore. It was spectacular. We did some snorkelling and saw the giant starfish. Just a short way from us we were lucky enough to watch some pelicans fishing too. A brilliant experience.
Lola and the rest of the crew were brilliant. Very helpful, friendly, informative and we never went hungry or thirsty! Thanks for a fantastic day

Relaxing Saona Island Excursion

We purposely chose Quetzal for less crowds and less of a party boat vibe, and it was perfect for us. Saona Island is so beautiful and well worth the effort to get there. My only suggestion for improvement would be that I would have liked to stay there longer. Our hostess was tri-lingual, fun, and very helpful. The lunch they served was delicious as were the cocktails. All in all a great relaxing day and we felt well taken care of.

Our catamaran excursion to Saona was the highlight of our first trip to the Dominican. Communication was great (which is deeply appreciated by neurotic people like me who don't always feel comfortable away from home). We were picked up right outside the gate of Iberostar, and after picking up one more family, we quickly arrived at the location with all of the boats. There, we were given instructions (in multiple languages), and we hopped on a little shuttle boat that took us to the catamaran. More instructions... then off we went. Being on the catamaran was my favorite part. It's so unbelievably delightful. 1st stop was to snorkel. I saw tons of cool fish. Then a quick snack and off to the Saona beach where we got to swim around in nicest water I've ever experienced.
The beach seems to be divided up between different companies that offer excursions. Some of the other areas had nicer beach chairs and things like that... but, I wasn't there to lay on a chair, so I didn't care about that.
After the beach, we ate a delicious lunch on the catamaran while heading to the next snorkeling stop where we saw the big starfish and rays. This was my wife's favorite part. The water was shallow enough here that you could snorkel while keeping your feet on the ground (which was much easier than the 1st snorkeling session).
After all of that, half the people on boat (myself included) fell asleep on the catamaran net. Best nap I've had in a long time :) :) :)

We had an amazing time on this trip. We loved the boat and the netting over the water was so relaxing. The food was so delicious. We took 4 kids all under age 7 and they loved it as well. Everybody was very friendly and helpful!
Definitely choose this experience if you want to relax, and a small group to enjoy this. Worth the money!

After a problem with our hotel security not allowing us to walk to the security gate of the hotel (where our meeting point was for the transfer pick up), Joy was great and very responsive to my message to the contact number provided and we managed to arrange the taxi transfer to pick us up with no concerns and was very smooth. Transfers to and from were very good and one of the Quetzal team gave us some of the island’s history and culture during the taxi journey which was interesting.
The actual experience was brilliant, we shared the catamaran with a total of 18 guests and they were all enjoying their time as a relaxing experience. The catamaran was clean, and the Quetzal team were all very attentive and professional. The journey to just off Saona Island was about 1 hour, we stopped to snorkel for half an hour which was lovely, we managed to see sting rays, puffer fish as well as lots of tropic fish too. We then travelled to a mini beach where we got off and walked through the coconut jungle and had a private area on Saona Island beach which made us so relieved we chose this experience over others we were looking in to (as others were very large groups and queuing for the bbq). The Quetzal team got us piña coladas in pineapples (€10) and coconuts (€5) etc from the bar if we wished (to save us queuing) and we also had our own supply of drinks in our private area. We relaxed here for 1.5 hours which could have been longer but for people who don’t enjoy sand, it was long enough. We then walked back through the coconut jungle again and got back on the catamaran. We had lunch on the catamaran which was lovely, and we had some (not loud or crazy party) music on board whilst we ate. We then snorkelled again in the conservation star fish natural pools which was great (saw about ten star fish) but if you didn’t wish to snorkel you could relax on the catamaran instead. We then headed back to the start of our experience (about 1.5 hours) where our taxis were waiting for us to take us back. The whole experience on the catamaran or beach/snorkelling was around 0900-1630 give/take wind speed for the boat.
The whole team were professional, personal and friendly. We thank you for such a memorable experience!
